Early Version of 6000 Compact

Henson Support

The following is only a guide we have put together to help you out, based on our experience with this system.

We can still source Windows 98 laptops and repair most faults with Hensons that use this operating system, we can also help with windows 95 and also DOS 6.22 which you will find in the 3200 and 4000 range.
We also hold copies of every software version ever released for the Henson system. (except for the Henson 2000 & 3000 these use the old BBC Micro and not a hard drive in sight)

Some of the more worrying but fixable error messages you might see.

'LED Error' more often than not a poor contact on an LED, fixable, but very hard to find if the error is not all the time.

'Background illumination out of Tollerance' Check all the lamps are working in the headrest and only replace with same type fitted if this fails to work check that there are no bright lights facing the bowl or LED board.
If that still does not work then call us...We can not repair any issues here but the manufacturer might.

'Device open by 0' or 'Device open by zero'......check the test is only open once and Bowl is switched on

'0 is not a valid date' ......this is a fault within your database and easily repairable via telephone allow 20mins

'Index out of date' ....... talk to us we can repair almost all errors with this code.
'Invalid integer value'

'floatation point device by zero'.... this one is often hard to clear as it stacks up, but generally a comport error

Plus many more..there are so many but these seem to be the favourites.

We have a test called NEW and it was not there yesterday
Another fault we get called about is when (often WIN98) a test pops up called 'NEW' ,simply put you have the wrong software for your machine, and before you say it, i believe you when you say ' I didn't put it there'. again very easy to fix 20mins call us.

Restarting issues and Random Beeps will require an Engineers visit typically 1 hour Labour often no parts required unless the item at fault is too far gone.

Missed Stimuli even though your patient is seeing the dots. Check the handset is plugged in fully if it is then call us.

If you intend to update your software or PC etc call us first for advice if you are unsure.

5000CROP

Henson PRO 5000 or 3500 they look the same but different inside we can convert the 3500 into a 5000 model
